The @loloirugs rug/runner I ordered for the upstairs hallway arrived and I love them so much. Swipe for close up views and video.

I am always very hesitant when ordering rugs, mainly because it is a huge hassle to return them, but as soon as I saw these on @joineryanddesignco, I knew they would be perfect. They are super soft and plush — different from the other flat rugs — but still have that vintage look. So pretty.

Now to find a coordinating paint color.

Progress is being made! Tonight after I put the girls to bed, I sat in this corner and taped out some ideas. A cushy rug, a cozy comfy chair, patterned curtains — a lamp for #lampoclock 😏 @chrislovesjulia

I can’t believe all of the new things I’ve tried, failed, and learned in the past week — getting us to this point. We’re far from done, but the details are keeping me motivated to keep going. One thing I’m stumped on is what color to paint the bookshelf. If you have any ideas, you have more ideas than me and I would love to hear them. 👍🏻

Ruh roh. No turning back now! 😎 We have officially started our “replace the flooring upstairs” project. We are using the same water-resistant laminate flooring by AquaGuard from @flooranddecor that we had installed several years ago on our main level. But this time we’re doing it ourselves! 🙌🏻 We are starting in the hallway and will do a room at a time as time allows, so this won’t be a quick project. For those of you interested in the process, I’ll be sharing a lot more in Stories. See ya there! 👋🏻
