Busted our booty bum bums all week to get our backyard ready for summer. We’ve never done anything with this pad of pavers that the previous owners had, so I decided to turn it into a gathering spot. I sat out here in the sprinkling rain this afternoon, alone, after a week of nonstop work and it was pure bliss. Feeling grateful for this life and the people I get to share it with.✨Going to watch the Stanley Cup Finals outside and roast s’mores. What are you up to this weekend?

Week 8 @oneroomchallenge update: I should be drywalling but I’ve never done that before so I built bookshelves and drawers instead.

Sconces arrived! Electric is wired! Chairs arrived! So many fun things are ready to go—just need to drywall. Following along as I try it for the first time this week.

Oh and school is out for summer on Thursday. 🫠

Gotta love a little before and after action: stair

Gotta love a little before and after action: staircase edition. I’m going to be editing a bunch tutorial videos for this project, so let me know if you have specific questions. I researched and studied what to do for months before attempting it because I wasn’t sure how much scope creep would occur once I pulled that carpet up.

Do the seams make you twitch? 🤣 I probably would have sewed those seams if I knew how, but surprisingly I’m not bothered by it at all.
