There was a time where I was hitting the Starbucks drive thru every morning after dropping Tilly off at preschool. It was part of our morning routine. Ona would take a cat nap and I’d drop off a hot drink to Brandon at work. I was reloading our app constantly.

One day just before quarantine shut everything down, the internet shared the whipped coffee recipe and we decided to give it a shot. I could not actually get it to be whipped completely, but I think that was due to my frother not being a very good one. So my new coffee drink came as a result of a failed attempt at whipped coffee.

Since then, I’ve been making my coffee at home and saving a lot of money.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a coffee mug, add water and heat for 30-45 seconds
  2. Add sugar and instant coffee packet
  3. Use handheld frother to mix until a creamy, fluffy consistency
  4. Pour over ice and fill with your choice of milk

I serve mine in my yeti mug over nugget ice and it keeps it cold all day long. Let me know if you try this!
