Sometimes when I’m in the thick of a project and it doesn’t feel like I’m making much progress, I like to do a quick and easy project that makes me feel like I’m getting something done.
Back when I built my bench for the end of my bed, I picked up some linen at the fabric store to make some framed art I had seen before. I used my Cricut machine to cut out a phrase in chunky lettering and then hot glued it to the linen in a fun layout! Then I popped the linen into the frame and hung it on the wall. It was that easy.
Here are the details if you’d like to try it yourself.
- I used a 16×20 frame with a medium brown tone. I think this adds warmth to the overall piece when the rest of it is black and white.
- I picked up some white and black linen for a few bucks (don’t forget to use your coupons!).
- I used this chunky font for the lettering and set the letters to 2.8″ height when designing it in my Cricut design space.
That’s about it. I did use the brown cardboard that usually comes inside a frame behind the linen which toned the white down just slightly and makes it softer.
I love how it turned out for a quick nap time project. Let me know if you try this!
