One thing about me is that I only enjoy iced drinks, 99% of the time. If I’m drinking a hot drink, it’s either hot green tea or a cappuccino, but I much prefer an iced drink, even in freezing temperatures.

My go-to is an iced shaken espresso with sweet vanilla cold foam on top. I was hitting the drive thru daily and it was adding up, so a few years ago I bought an espresso machine and never looked back. It has been one of the best purchases we’ve made.

Recently, Brandon tried an iced matcha latte with lavender foam and our whole family loves it. So I was on a mission to make that at home, too.

It’s actually a really easy drink to make!

What you’ll need:

Steps:

  1. Heat hot water and mix 2 oz with 1 tbsp of sweet matcha powder
  2. While the water is heating, make your cold foam by mixing some vanilla syrup, lavender syrup, heavy cream, and sometimes I add a splash of 2% milk. I don’t follow a recipe but you can adjust based on how sweet you want it. Use the frother to make it nice and fluffy.
  3. Add crushed ice to your glass and pour the matcha mixture over. Add your milk, top with the foam, and enjoy!
